Activated Carbon Filters

Activated Carbon Filters: application and benefits

Activated carbon filters are used to remove chlorine and to absorb organic molecules from water.

Commonly used for pre-treatment for Reverse OsmosisDemineralizers and other water treatment processes, where it is desirable to remove the above contaminants from the water flow, before the treatment process.

System Specification

  • Vessel: FRP
  • Fully Automatic. Regenerates on delta pressure, volume and/or time. PLC Controller
  • Electrically Safe: 240V; 50 Hz supply to Controller. 24VDC supply to pressure transducer and actuated valves
  • Pressure: 210 – 825 kPa
  • Vacuum: Nil (use vacuum breaker if there is any potential for vacuum)
  • Turbidity: 10.0 NTU maximum
